Know Who You Are!

Introduction

Have you ever wished you had an easy way to share with new teachers, employers or friends information about you? Have you spent time thinking about your strengths, interests, preferences, and needs? In this session you will have the opportunity to do just that! Watch the video to hear Gavin share more information about what to expect.

Elements of I'm Determined

The Elements comprise the essential skills necessary for increasing self-determination. This session will focus on the following elements:

Choice Making: The skill of selecting a path forward between two known options. Looking at the things I can and can't control.
Decision Making: The skill of selecting a path forward based on various solutions that have each been thoughtfully considered.
Self-Awareness: Basic understanding of one's own strengths, needs, and abilities.
Self-Efficacy: Belief in one’s own ability to succeed in specific situations or accomplish specific tasks.

I Am Poem

The I Am Poem is just one type of personal poem to share information about you. To complete an I Am Poem, you need to be ready to talk about yourself and who you are.

In the video, Hugh will share how to create your own I Am Poem and will also share his I Am Poem with you.

After you have watched the video, click on the link to write your own poem. You will need to return to the Google Site once you have completed your poem and move on to the content section.

Josh's One Pager

One-Pager Example Using the Web-app

This is a example of the One-Pager depicted through pictures. The strengths for this one are history, math, technology and coaching. Interests are wrestling, football, friends, and food. Preferences are take notes/have handouts, more time on tests, audio learning and hands-on learning. Needs are copy of notes, take a break, family time and more sleep.
